I look for the humour in everyday situations to create my artwork.
It is by taking the situations, events and characters of our lives that are too often overlooked that my work becomes a parody of the world in which we live. The narrative behind my creations becomes a subtle commentary on our daily lives. The stories each piece tells reflect back at us our own lives, open for our own interpretations and our own internal dialogue.
The three-dimensional aspect to my art works as a symbol of the layers we need to tear off to reach the core and the heart of a situation, emotion or personality.
My work speaks for itself and if you listen carefully enough you will hear the stories it has to tell.
Not everything is black and white or straight forward.

I am inspired by contemporary art and re-create the world around me using a broad range of media including illustration, photography, music and ceramics.
Human emotion fascinates me and is often at the heart of my work.
My illustrations exaggerate behaviour to create a story where words become redundant.
There is nothing I love better than breathing life into inanimate objects giving them personalities and characters of their own.
I am also inspired by observing facial expressions, following the line of every visible emotion in the human spectrum - from joy and laughter to pain and sadness.
Although my work appears to be composed by simple, neat, clear and defined lines, I challenge the viewer to look deeper and find the underlying complexity beneath the layers, drawing the viewer ever further in to my art and themselves.

As a student at the Cyprus College of Art I experimented with illustration, sculpture, photography and painting. This unique opportunity gave me the time and space to experience a variety of medias, which allowed
my work to evolve organically in many different areas. This was a great opportunity for me to develop the skills I already possessed.
Bizzare situations, Tim Burton, Grayson Perry, acoustic folk music, old tin toys, Viz, Tracey Emin, Sarah Beetson, Aardman, Ingrid Murphy, Red Nose Studio, buttons, kitsch, coffee, old photos, Matthew Barney, John Hendrix, old signs, Whitstable, photography, seediness of Blackpool, paper, pen, ink, odd objects, travel, Lucy McKenzie, playing instruments, Francis Bacon, Steve Pemberton, sunsets, random inspiration, Willow the Wisp, Frieda Kahlo, Family Guy, ceramics, old tins and boxes, Psychoville......etc
